Software development and modernization
Custom web, mobile and enterprise software built end to end, and legacy systems modernized without a risky rewrite. Full-stack engineering with architecture you can trust.
Overview
Some businesses need something new built: a customer portal, a mobile app, an internal tool, an integration between systems. Others need an old system made easier to change. Both need the same things: a clear understanding of the problem, sound architecture, careful engineering and tests that prove it works.
NaVasSys builds web, mobile and enterprise software with full-stack teams, and specializes in Java, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud platforms. We design the architecture, build the front end and back end, connect the integrations, and set up the pipelines and tests that let you keep changing the software safely.
For existing systems, we do not recommend a big-bang rewrite. We carve the application up one slice at a time behind stable APIs, keep it running throughout, and measure each step so the benefits are visible and the risks stay small. Microservices are used where they pay for their operating cost, and not where a well-structured application is enough.
What we build and fix
A new product or internal tool
We take an idea from discovery to a working first release, then continue to improve it in short cycles.
A large application that is slow to change
We identify seams in the code and data, then extract services behind stable APIs, starting with the parts that change most or hurt most.
Systems that do not talk to each other
We design integrations and APIs that move data reliably between your applications, partners and third-party services.
Old frameworks and security debt
We plan and carry out upgrades to supported Java, Spring and front-end versions in manageable steps, backed by automated tests.
Performance and reliability under load
We find the bottlenecks, add timeouts, caching and resilience where they matter, and prove the improvement under realistic load.
What you get
What we deliver
Discovery and architecture
A written design with service boundaries, data ownership and technology choices, tied to your goals.
Full-stack development
Front-end and back-end engineering for web and mobile applications.
APIs and integrations
Consistent, versioned, documented REST APIs, and integrations with payment, ERP, CRM and other systems.
Microservices platform pieces
Spring Boot services with health checks, logging, metrics, security and configuration built in, plus gateway and resilience patterns where needed.
Modernization roadmap
A sequenced, low-risk path from today's system to the target, using the strangler pattern where it fits.
Tests and pipelines
Unit, integration and contract tests with CI/CD, so every change builds, tests and deploys the same way.
How we work
Our approach
Understand the domain
We map how the business works and where the code reflects it, because good boundaries follow the domain.
Build the first slice
We choose one valuable, low-risk piece, or a minimum viable product, so the team learns on something safe.
Build and verify
The work is built behind an API, tested against known behavior and released gradually.
Repeat and simplify
We continue slice by slice and retire old code as we go.
Frequently asked questions
Do we really need microservices?
Often not everywhere. A well-structured modular application is the right answer for many teams. We recommend splitting only where independent deployment or scaling pays for the added operating cost.
Can you work with our team?
Yes. We commonly work alongside your engineers, pair on the hard parts and set patterns they can repeat, so capability stays with you. We can also provide a complete dedicated team.
How do you avoid a risky big-bang rewrite?
By extracting small slices behind stable interfaces, running old and new side by side, and moving traffic gradually with the ability to roll back.
Which versions of Java and Spring do you support?
We work with current supported releases and can help modernize older ones. We assess your versions and propose an upgrade path.
